We are a church that celebrates our differences and welcomes all people in the love of Jesus Christ. While we draw strength from diversity and a variety of talents and ideas, we also work hard to meet individual needs. Seniors have different needs than young parents, singles lead different lives than couples. Diversity is celebrated at Pine Island because we believe individuality helps us be a stronger community of faith and action.

Find Community
We believe God calls us to be a faith community that serves our neighborhoods, our nation, and the world. At Pine Island, no one is a “stranger” for very long. We help people meet people and develop new friendships and lines of support. We encourage each other, celebrate each other’s gifts, and engage in the adventure of life as a faith community seeking to make a difference.

Address Important Questions
We believe our faith directly impacts the most pressing questions we face as thinking people and we believe God can help us find new insights to these concerns. Questions are important at Pine Island and we will not offer pat answers. We try to address the questions of today’s world together with honest inquiry and humility.

Cherish Children & Engage Youth
Parents want the best for their children. Pine Island does, too. Our commitment to children begins with high quality child care, opportunities for children to participate in the joy of worship, and time for their own activities as well. Our education time after worship gives children the opportunity to discover the love of God in ways that children learn best.

Today’s youth face many choices and feel pressure from an increasingly complex world. At Pine Island, we offer youth an atmosphere of trust and acceptance, where they can ask tough questions, develop meaningful friendships, give themselves in service to their community, and have a whole lot of fun!
