Children's Opportunities

Children are important at Pine Island. There are several opportunities for children to be involved in worship and education every Sunday. Most children who are 4 or 5 years old and older attend worship during the first part of the service with their friends and families. Children are welcome to participate in an interactive time for worship called PresbyKids which occurs before the sermon. During the second half of worship there are Sunday School classes for children. On the first Sunday of each month, Communion Sunday, children have an expanded role in the worship service. They assist with passing out bulletins and collecting the offering rather than attending Sunday school.

Child Care and Nursery

Young children, from infants to pre-schoolers, are cared for during worship and education in our Child Care Area. There are educational activities for the older children in this area as well as time for play. Pine Island employs a Child Care Coordinator for the Child Care/Nursery area, who is assisted by volunteers from the congregation. Parents are always welcome to bring their children with them to worship as well.
